My first stop was to visit my Tucson boat-buddy Paul Bear.
He and I had recently trailered our boats (his Montgomery 17) down to San
Carlos, Mexico for ten days of south-of-the-border adventure. Since that trip
he’d had a bit of surgery and it was great to see him almost back to his
big-hearted and burly self.
