Monday 3/31/14 – Eastward with Dan
Dan and I quickly settled into an easy travel routine; up
shortly after sunrise, stop for breakfast at a local diner (an egg, grits &
toast for me), cruise along I-10 at about 60mph while snacking during the day
and stopping later in the afternoon at a campground and relaxing over a camp dinner
at a park table or a nearby diner if available.
I gave a yelp when crossing into lovely Loosiana where I had
spent some wonderful times in the past visiting friends, enjoying shrimp
‘etoufee and po’ boy sandwiches and dancing to zydeco music.
Here’s Hobbes at our KOA camp near Lafayette.
